Dexter’s Qualified Mechanics
All the mechanics at Dexter’s Wayne Street Automotive have passed the State of Michigan Certification requirement and some have gone further, passing specialty tests to become ASE Certified.
The non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE certification provides motorists with the benefit of choosing the right professional for the job. An ASE certified mechanic is skillful in his field, as being ASE certified equips him with the intellectual knowledge he needs to be successful. It’s a win-win situation for him and the consumer.
Dexter Schlutt is an ASE Certified Master Mechanic having passed the requirements in all areas of the automotive repair category. This means Dexter is Certified nationally in:
- Engine Repair
- Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
- Manual Drive Train & Axles
- Suspension & Steering
- Brakes
- Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Heating & Air Conditioning
- Engine Performance
ASE Certified Mechanics must re-certify every five years to be sure they keep up with the changing technology. The award pictured about was presented to Dexter to commemorate 25 years as an ASE Certified Mechanic.
